Founded in the 1960’s in Spain and transformed over the years, today Juan Gili S.L. is a third-generation family-owned company, manufacturer of Water Swellable SAF™ Soft Yarns, Cords and Ropes and a textile solutions supplier for technical applications in an energy and telecommunications market.
Continuity of generations in the business adds the responsibility, as I believe that I have a personal commitment to the quality of our products.
I am very proud of our R & D centre’s work, which develops unique textile solutions for our customers with faster and superior water absorption, greater tensile strength, optimal wet and dry diameters, as well as other technical characteristics, based on customers’ technical demand.

Timeline
Juan Gili S.L. is a family business transformed over the years, continuously striving to offer the best textile solutions in the market, operating in a sustainable and environmentally committed way and having an open eye for the future.
1960 - We have started manufacturing
- Different yarns for the industrial and agricultural sectors.
1989 - We have started manufacturing
- Water Swellable SAF™ Soft Yarns, Cords and Ropes, designed for power cables, telecom and special cables.
2014 - We have started developing, designing and own manufacturing
- Non-woven and other technical fabrics, including those based on SAF™ and Biodegradable Materials (PVHO) for medical, hygienic, military and industrial sectors.
2019 - Quality Management System
- Certificate ISO 9001: 2015.
2020 - Cutting and winding
- We have opened Cutting & winding center in Spain.
2021 - Certifications
- We have received an Environmental Management Certificate ISO 14001: 2015 & Occupational Health and Safety Management Certificate ISO 45001: 2018
