WB Fibre Glass Tape
Tape composed of a high thermal resistance fiberglass base, impregnated with superabsorbent polymers (SAP) that provide water-blocking capability. Designed for use in electrical cables where thermal protection, structural integrity, and prevention of moisture ingress are required.
Application:
Medium and high-voltage power cables, submersible cables, underground cables, renewable energy cables (solar/wind), and fire-resistant cables with water-blocking requirements in compliance with IEC, EN, and UL standards.

Active water-blocking function: Expands upon contact with water, forming a physical barrier that blocks longitudinal moisture migration.
High thermal resistance: Withstands continuous operating temperatures above 400 °C.
Dimensional and mechanical stability: Reinforces cable structure, protects against abrasion, tension, and compression.
Chemical compatibility: Resistant to humid, saline, and aggressive environments.
Non-hygroscopic and halogen-free.
