Las cintas bloqueadoras de agua contienen polímeros superabsorbentes (SAP) que se expanden al entrar en contacto con el agua. Su función es bloquear la penetración longitudinal de la humedad dentro del cable. Garantizan la protección de los componentes internos y un rendimiento estable. Se aplican en cables de energía HV/MV, fibra óptica, datos, telecomunicaciones y cables especiales.

Beneficios clave
Las cintas bloqueadoras de agua son componentes de protección especializados utilizados en la fabricación de cables de energía, datos y telecomunicaciones. Están compuestas por sustratos no tejidos o tejidos impregnados con materiales superabsorbentes (SAP – polímeros superabsorbentes) que se expanden rápidamente al entrar en contacto con el agua. Este efecto de hinchamiento bloquea y sella el núcleo del cable o sus intersticios, evitando la penetración longitudinal de agua en la estructura del cable.
